Village of Longleaf

Village of Longleaf

The Town of Longleaf completed in December of 1996 was 3.000 acre mixed use development in Central Florida. Longleaf incorporates the best lessons learned from the past such as small Florida towns together with the philosophies of a pedestrian oriented design and the development of an integrated live-work community. The Master Plan includes the design of four neighborhoods, schools and bussinesses and wetland areas liked together by abundant greenbelts along with hiking trails.

In the Town of Longleaf, small details make a world of difference, For instance, welcoming front porches enrich the appearance of the home, provide a relaxing outdoor living space and contribute to neighborhood safety by providing eyes on the street. Porches are elevated for comfortable conversation with passersby, while the privacy of backyards is protected by the arrangement of houses. Privacy Side Manners is a principle that provides Longleaf residents a comfortable private realm both inside the home and in the backyard. Home plans embrace a very private backyard, while views from neighboring houses are restricted.
In keeping with true traditional style, architectural detailing and propotion standards permeate every Longleaf home design. This adds a distinct character and style to the exteriors of homes and contributes to the beauty of all streetscapes in town.
